This is a great month to invite a friend to listen to a podcast so for the first time I will be holding a contest on this blog!
Here is how it will work. During this month, if you invite someone to listen to the podcasts for the first time and they listen and leave a comment on one of the June podcasts, their name will be put into a hat, along with your’s. (Be sure to tell them to mention your name!) You also don’t have to be a homeschooler to win!
On the 4th of July, I will draw the name of one regular listener and one new listener. Each of you will receive a Fun Bundle from me that will include a copy of one of my favorite books on being a mom, Sally Clarkson’s The Ministry of Motherhood. I will also include a copy of The Campbell Women Cookbook, a large collection of recipes that my daughter, daughters-in-law, and I put together, and a handmade apron. And I will include 3 copies of Year One of thatmom podcasts (50 in all) on one CD so you can share them with friends!
Here are the topics for the month:
June 6 ~ So You Think You Want to Homeschool? Part 1
June 13 ~ So You Think You Want to Homeschool? Part 2
June 20 ~ Writing Your Own Philosophy of Education
June 27 ~ Top Ten Things I Would Do Differently, Top Ten Things I Would Do All Over Again

Karen,
Is Abigail Adams still in the Green Room?
This is of particular interest to me. Someone has asked me to write a commentary on Abigal Adams as she throws a monkey wrench in the patriocentric paradigm. Jim Leininger’s daughter, Tracy, (Jim Leininger was once Doug Phillip’s great patron and financier) wrote a book about Abigail that I am told was orginially published by Vision Forum but is now no longer for sale by VF. I have not seen the book but was assured by one homeschooler that she once owned a copy. I’ve been unable to find a copy of the book, so I was looking forward to what you had to share about Abigail, especially considering that Vision Forum also sells books of quotes and such about John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
