real encouragement for real homeschooling moms

Jesus is our only prophet, priest, and king

Over the weekend I heard a wonderful sermon that really blessed me in many ways. Beginning a series from the book of Revelation, my pastor expounded on the truth that we can only know God and about God through Jesus, who is called “the faithful messenger” in the first chapter of this book. He also explained how, from this text, it is affirmed that Jesus is preeminent and the only one we can call our prophet, priest, and king today. I would encourage you to download this message and listen to it. Since many of us in the homeschooling movement are often told that the husband and father in the home are the family’s “prophet, priest, and king,” I thought you might appreciate hearing a message that teaches what the Word of God says.

” Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
